It didn’t take me long to get to Olympia this week. A quick tube trip to Hammersmith and I’m there. Thankfully it’s a relatively small exhibition which makes it easier on the feet. My plan was to see if I could spot any products that I like and could style in my own home. Frustratingly though I couldn’t buy anything as it as a trade show and as I was there as a freelance journalist I couldn’t buy but don’t worry I have put together my best picks and I’ll be buying later……
Well I made it to the Press Office. I grabbed myself a coffee and started my search. Didn’t take me long to spot something. I’m loving the cotton ball lights on the table.
It seems to be that designer print tea towels are all the rage at the moment. Now we are all living in open plan kitchen diners tea towels are on display so you might as well get one that looks good. I spotted these two bird prints. Apparently some people are framing them and hanging them on the wall?
The latest trend for interiors for Autumn / Winter 2016/2017 is Memphis. Graphic patterns, candy pastels and bold shapes are back a kick back to the Memphis movement that changed the face of design in the 1980’s.
Not sure about this latest trend. Think it might grow on me. Maybe I’ll invest in some new crockery to get the look.
Bye for now
