I wish my hallway looked like this? It’s so light and stylish. I’m imagining the door leads to a beautiful sunny garden with the perfect shady spot to relax and enjoy the warmth of a summers day. There’s no reason why your hallway can’t look stylish and inviting too. I hope you get some inspiration from a few of my ideas on how you could revamp your hallway.
Be creative with hooks
There are so many ways you can add hooks to your hallway. If you’ve got the room why not try a more traditional coat stand with a modern look like this one. Or make a bit more of a statement with a one off contemporary hook on the wall and hang your favourite scarf or latest handbag on it. To keep your hallway looking clean and fresh don’t forget to clear out all the coats, bags and clutter you don’t need for the season and store away for next year.
Shelf the shoes
I can never believe how much ‘stuff’ ends up in our hallway. It’s seems impossible to keep it tidy. This is a stylish place to store muddy shoes, boots, umbrellas and scarves in these pull out baskets. It’s so easy to throw anything in as soon as you come in and forget about it. If you haven’t got the space to use a corner unit simply invest in a few baskets.
Add some sophistication
Your hallway is the first impression visitors get of your home but often it becomes a forgotten draughty corridor. Why not give it a fresh look and think of it as simply another room, however small it is. An easy way to do this is to go for a dramatic effect with the decor. I love this look. The pops of pink against the rich emerald green paint really draws the hallway into this elegant sitting room.
Don’t forget the lights
It can get so dark and dingy in the hall. I wish we had the space for this sleek side board with gorgeous styling details but sadly not. When I saw this picture with this stunning pendant light with glass shade I think that this could be the answer to give my hallway a boost.
